Course Description

This class is a graduation requirement and is worth 5 credits.

The textbook is The Americans, which can be found on this website under Books in the previous portal. Please locate the file below titled US History Part 2 Assignment Sheet to find the page numbers of your written assignments.  Remember, T & N = Terms and Names (of which you complete all of them), and MI = Main Idea questions (of which you complete all of them using a complete sentence that includes the information from the question in your answer).

Please view all files below to support your efforts in this class.

Once you have read the chapter, completed the chapter assessment, and copied and reviewed your chapter notes, you will be ready to complete your chapter exam.  For your chapter exam you will write a short response (2-3 sentences) for each item in your chapter notes (I.e., capital letter of the chapter acronym) that explains and states the importance of each item.  Then, you will select one item from your chapter notes to expand on your response, citing a greater amount of detail and information.  This longer response should be at least one half page in length and should include  all relevant facts from the chapter.

More specifically for your Chapter 11 Exam:
1) On a piece of paper, write "Chapter 11 Exam" on the top.
2)  From your Chapter Notes for Chap. 11 locate "The USA Joins the ALLIES."
3) Copy the A-L-L-I-E-S acronymand write a 2-3 sentence explanation for each item.
4) Pick one item and expand your explanation to one half page.
5) The more you include historical facts and details from the chapter (especially relevant vocabulary
terms and names), the more points you will receive on your exam score.
